Countdown: 5 DAYS Preview of Summer Dress Sale

Who can believe it's all ready the middle of July, this month has been flying! I can't believe my 2nd Pop Up Shop is less than a week away, actually 5 days to exact!

In anticipation of my sale, I have decided to run a  5 day countdown and every day I will be previewing some of the great pieces that will marked down at the sale. And more importantly a sneak peak of some of the new unlisted pieces I will be selling just at the Pop Up Shop.

With the gorgeous summer weather, I decided to go through my dresses inventory and picked some of my current etsy pieces sand some older goodies and create a great DISCOUNTED price list of some of my favourites.

The priced dresses below are just selected few of what will be available, also check out the newest pieces, they are stunning! My absolute fav of the bunch is the teal/green suede/leather strapless dress with a boned bustier. It is so well constructed and fits soo nicely!

My Pop Up Shop will be taking place at the Big on Bloor Festival July 23, 2011 from 1-9. My table is table C3 located section C-St Clarens Ave to Emerson Ave North on the north side of Bloor, between St. Clarens and Emerson Rd. The festival runs from Landsowne to Dufferin and Bloor.

Somewhere Between a Pencil Skirt and Maxi Skirt..

I'm absolutely in love with the new trend, Mid Calf Skirts. They are not quite as long as the maxi skirt or knee length pencil skirt but can effortlessly be incporated in any wardrobe. I have scored some great new vintage mid calf skirts and lsited them at the etsy shop.

Vintage 1950s Saks Fifth Avenue Little Black Dress (LBD)


When I saw this dress, I automatically thought of Audrey Hepburn based on the quality and sophistication of this dress, I decided to write a blog post on Fashion Icon AUDREY HEPBURN. This new vintage LBD dress that will be listed at an eye for vintage etsy shop this week.

Audrey Hepburn

After winning an Oscar in 1953 for the film Roman Holiday, Audrey Hepburn became one of the most photographed actresses of all time. She was the third actress to receive $1, 000, 000 for a film role, which was uncommon during that time. Hepburn is often referred to by the fashion media as the most important ‘style icon’ of the 20th century. The style of dress featured by Hepburn in her films strongly influenced the fashion of the period as her clothes and accessories were widely copied. and her sense of style continues to be admired to this day.

Although Audrey was very different from the curvy Marylin Monroe and Lauren Bacall that came before, she loved to wear simple cuts with clean cut lines that showed off her gorgeous tall and slim figure. All the top designers loved to dress her doll-like body.

Her style has influenced many trends that have changed the course of fashion.

The chick Little Black Dress is one of the most common pieces that have become synonymous with her style. Making it extremely popular during the craze around 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. It was indeed her unique signature piece, influencing many women whether famous or average to adopt her look for the red carpet or other formal events. Today a Little Black Dress (LBD) is an essential closet must have to every wardrobe. Her style followed the 'less is more' principle she choose a simple dress boosting her look with accessories.

Hats and Pearls  were also her specialty sporting from the most bouffant styles to the romantic and classy designs, undoubtedly she found her home among accessories. All these tiny and at the same time essential details brought her fame and respect from the part of fashion gurus. Indeed she will live in the memory of style-conscious people as one of the all time favorite style icon.

 Many of Audrey's staple pieces are wardrobe staples that are in our closets today and have influenced fashion today, such as :

A Little Mad Men Style on an Autumn Day

This Jeremy Scott vintage dress is another chic treasure that will be listed at the store this week. The beauty of this vintage piece is the craftsmanship. It looks remarkably more stunning modeled than on a mannequin, it is a well tailored and stitched garment.
